Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gori ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Gori mobile app and related websites (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Gori, we may collect:

• Account data: email or sign-in identifiers and authentication tokens from your login provider.
• Profile data: nickname, birthday or age, sex used for estimates, height, weight, activity level, goal (lose, gain, or muscle), optional target weight, and optional health notes you choose to save.
• Meal and progress data: food logs (including text, voice-derived text, photos you upload, barcode data, macros), daily totals, weigh-ins, streaks, and related history.
• Location (optional): if you enable attach-location when logging, approximate place data for a meal. Logging never requires location. You can turn this off in Settings.
• Device and usage data: app version, device type, approximate diagnostics, and subscription status needed to run billing and support.
• Purchase data: subscription plan and entitlement status processed through the store (for example Google Play) and our billing provider. We do not store your full payment card number.

2. How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide calorie plans, logging, sync, trends, and streaks
• Estimate nutrition from the methods you choose (photo, voice, text, and similar)
• Process subscriptions, trials, and cancellations
• Improve reliability, security, and product quality
• Respond to support requests and meet legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use meal location for ads or public social maps.

3. AI and automated estimates

When you log with photo, voice, or short text, we may send the content you provide to automated systems to estimate calories and macros for you to review and edit. Those estimates can be wrong. You remain in control of what is saved.

4. Sharing

We may share information with:

• Service providers that host data, process auth, run billing entitlements, or help estimate nutrition, under contracts that limit use to providing services to us
• App stores for purchase validation and refund or cancellation handling on their platform
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service

If we ever transfer the business, your information may move with it under continued privacy protections.

5. Retention

We keep account and log data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can edit or delete individual logs where the product allows. You may request account deletion via our Delete account page or by contacting us. Some records (for example billing proofs) may be kept as required by law.

6. Your choices

• Update profile and goal settings in the app
• Edit or remove meal logs and optional location on a meal
• Turn streaks or location attachment off in Settings
• Export data where the product supports PDF or CSV export
• Cancel Gori Plus anytime from Settings or your store account
• Request full account and data deletion at /delete-account

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. Use a strong password with your sign-in provider and keep your device updated.

8. Children

Gori is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. International users

The Service may be hosted in countries other than where you live. By using Gori you understand your information may be processed in those locations with appropriate safeguards where required.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy and will revise the date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or on the site.
